Automobili Pininfarina, far from just being associated with the famous Italian designer, is a force unto itself in the automotive world. Headed by Indian giant Mahindra, it has chosen Munich, Germany, as its headquarters.
After astonishing the world with the Battista supercar and the Pura SUV concept, here is their newest creation: a sleekly designed electric sports car, the B95. Its name references the “Barchetta” body style and commemorates the 95th anniversary of the design studio.
The B95 will not be within everyone’s reach: only 10 units will be made, each priced at a staggering 6.6 million CAD (4.4 million euros). And that’s not all; each vehicle will be unique to maintain its exclusivity.
So, what does such a technological marvel bring? The model comes equipped with a top-of-the-line electric drivetrain: a 120 kWh battery, 1400 kW of power (or 1900 horsepower spread over the four wheels), a recharge rate of up to 270 kW (going from 20% to 80% in just 25 minutes), and an impressive acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2 seconds with a top speed of 300 km/h.
Not to mention a design focused on the use of precious materials such as carbon, magnesium, and aluminum. Each model will be meticulously hand-assembled.
